Bel was a normal, mild-tempered Hellhound who lived the normal life of an everyday person. He was poor and his relationship was barely clinging to life. Their attempts at making a family failed each time, but finally the couple was granted with a tiny, weak baby they named Miloh. But under the Queen's rule, raising a family was hard and painful. Bel's girlfriend became sucked into depression from staying with him. He tried to make it up to her by taking her to the surface for a picnic. But it took a turn for the worst when Miloh wandered into the thick forest and Bel's girlfriend chased after him. Soon gunshots were heard, and they didn't return to Bel. Panicked, he ran in to find them both dead, and the next thing he knew, he'd been knocked out by the two Hellhound Hunters that had commited the act.
He woke up to find himself in some sort of hospital, strapped to a table and with tubes and such in his arms. For days on end, odd and painful experiments were conducted, in attempts for the Hellhound Hunters to combine certain attributes from other Hellhounds with his body and make a Hellhoud They could control. To their disappointment, Belphegor was much too weak to take this experimentation, and died on the operating table. In anger and fustration, they tossed his body into a dumpster like trash.
However, the rats in the dumpster had began to feast at his body, biting him and mixing rabies into his blood. With all the special powers he'd been introduced with, the Hellhound Hunters didn't realize that they'd made so much power in the body that it could reanimate, sparking back to life once the rabies was introduced. He feasted on rats in the dumpster until an unsuspecting civilian opened it to toss some trash away let him out.
He is very valuable to the Hellhound Hunters, and they will kill anyone who takes him in to aquire him. Bel isn't stable personality-wise, having some kind of bi-polar diesease with a weird mix of split-personality disorder. He will gladly revert to cannibalism if he pleases, and has, you guessed it, a craving for human flesh.

And FYI he's not naked all the time.
